Crafted in southwest Italy, circa 1760, and built in walnut, the large trestle table stands on hand carved scrolled ox yoke supports, and joined at the legs with a forged iron stretcher connecting to the top. The long table surface is built with two planks of walnut. From the structure to the finish, the important Baroque style farm table is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a stylish, rich walnut patina with exquisite natural distress.
