This elegant and colorful antique marble pedestal table was created in Italy, circa 1890. The heavy, sturdy pedestal sits on an octagonal base decorated with brass mounts over a carved round stem embellished with a decorative brass rim at the neck and bottom. The surface is dressed with an octagonal variegated green marble top over an apron decorated with brass mounts; the surface is further embellished with a inset brown marquetry band around the edge. The table is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich patinated finish. Place this side table in a living room next to a chair, or place it in a corner as a small pedestal to support a flower vase, bust or sculpture. Measures: 20.25″ W x 20.25″ D x 29″ H.
