Early 20th Century French Slate Top Iron Pastry Table with Bronze Mounts

About
Rectangular in shape, the vintage “Table de Boucher” (butcher table or pastry table) would add the ideal amount of surface space to any kitchen. Crafted in France circa 1920, the pastry table features intricate metal work and stands on scrolled legs, decorated with bronze round finials and circular medallions. The table features a polished scalloped apron embellished with gothic style motifs on all four sides. The work surface is dressed with the original thick gray slate top. The table is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns polished iron and bronze accents, and a rich a patinated dark brown finish throughout the legs. Incorporate this butcher table in a kitchen as a center island, or use it against as a small wall console in an entry or hallway. A true one-of-a-kind! Some small old chips on top of the slate (see detailed images). Measures: 38.5″ W x 28.5″ D x 30.5” H.
