Decorate a mantel or a console with this elegant pair of antique vases. Crafted in China circa 1980, each porcelain urn-shaped sits on a dark wooden base and features an octagonal shape and a substantial presence. The large vase is decorated with intricate hand-painted floral and nature motifs in blue and white palette, including flowers and birds, in a traditional cobalt blue under-glaze. The design features finely detailed patterns of blooms, leaves, and foliage covering much of the surface. Two stylized sculptural animals, resembling foo dogs or mythical creatures, are attached to the sides of the vase, serving both decorative and functional purposes as handles.
