About
Decorate an entry, bedroom or living room with this elegant antique commode. Crafted in Bordeaux, France, circa 1760, and built of walnut, the chest also called “Commode Tombeau” in French, stands on escargot feet over a scalloped apron; it features three reverse curved drawers across the front dressed with the original bronze handles and matching escutcheons. The cabinet is further embellished with serpentine sides decorated with recessed panels. The Louis XV bombe “commode Bordelaise” is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a deep and rich walnut patina. Measures: 47.25″ W x 24.25″ D x 33.5″ H
