These Classic antique Delft vases were created in France, circa 1860. Each elegant porcelain jar is decorated with finely painted, romantic scene medallions and embellished with floral decor in high relief. Each lid is embellished with a sculpted bird sculpture pecking the ball finial, and decorated with a traditional outdoor pastoral scene with a gentleman courting a young beauty. The ceramic vessels are in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, with soft colors in the traditional blue and white Delft palette. “W” and 899 marking on the underside for further authentication. A must have for any Blue and White faience lovers! Measures: 5″ W x 4″ D x 12″ H.
