Crafted in France circa 1870 and built of mahogany wood, the elegant antique cabinet stands on front rounded columnar supports embellished with decorative bronze mounted rings at the shoulder and the bottom, and ending on plinth platform base. The small chest features a freeze drawer across the front dressed with an intricate escutcheon, over an open niche. The surface is dressed with the original rectangular variegated black marble top. The petite Empire style bedside table is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use and adorns a rich walnut patina; versatile, it could also be used as an occasional side table, nightstand or small console.
