Dress a dining room or a den with this elegant antique painted buffet. Crafted in France circa 1870, the sideboard stands on tapered legs over a carved and straight plinth apron. The traditional enfilade is fitted with three carved drawers across the front decorated with geometric motifs and dressed with urn shaped brass handles. Flanked with vertical spline column on both sides, the cabinet has three doors with inset panels, embellished with hand carved floral rosette medallions in each corner. The inside reveals center shelving for additional storage. The surface with molded edges, is dressed with a hand painted faux marble top. The narrow Louis XVI style buffet with straight lines is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich textured patinated painted finish in a neutral off-white palette with little blue and grey accents. Use this versatile and practical buffet as a serving piece in a breakfast room or dining room. 3 keys included.
