Mid-19th Century French Painted and Gilt Trumeau Mirror with Bucolic Painting
$3,200
About
This fine, antique trumeau was created in France, circa 1840. The wall hanging piece has two sections below, a rectangular mirror, above, a painting on canvas. In the painted, bucolic scene, a gentleman and a woman play hide and seek in a large park; the young man hides behind a large stone statue with a cherub. The frame of the trumeau is painted black and is accentuated with a carved giltwood frame around the painting and the mirror. The mirror has its original mercury glass and overall the piece is in excellent condition with rich colors. 35″W x 65″H. SKU: 61-56
