Elegant antique tray from France, circa 1870; oval in shape, the black tole platter is embellished by hand-painted gilt decor around the lip, and a colorful landscape scene in the centre. The scene features a gentleman, his wife and daughter all standing with a nanny holding a baby, and mountains in the background. Beautifully done with wonderful details on the clothing, the tray is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and rich colors.
Measures: 20″ W x 16″ D.
