Keep time in your office, study, or atop your mantel with this elegant antique clock in the original glass dome. Crafted in France, circa 1870, the portico clock stands on a wooden gilt base with small bun feet; it features four columnar supports embellished with brass ring mounts at both extremities. The housing time and strike movement is decorated with a circular dial with black roman numerals, and is embellished with gilt repousse metal frame. The mechanism has been checked and cleaned and is wonderful working condition with the original bell. The period Napoleon III time keeper is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and features exquisite marquetry details. Pendulum and winding key included. Measures: 12.25″ W x 8″ D x 26.5″ H.
