Add an air of drama and elegance to your home with this important pair of antique candlesticks with wax candles. Crafted in France circa 1870, each church candle holder stands on a sturdy triangle base decorated with acanthus leaf motifs over three scrolled feet. The tripod is embellished on each side with repousse faces of God, Jesus and The Virgin Mary. The tall carved decorative stem is embellished with repousse motifs of grapes, vines and leaves. The Louis XV style candlesticks are in excellent condition and adorn their beautiful, original silverplated finish. Versatile, they could be used to decorate a dining table, a buffet, or placed on a mantel. (Wax candles included). Measure: 8.5″W x 8.5″D x 27″H 35″H (with candles).
