Created in France, circa 1870, the elegant antique wall mirror is octagonal in shape and decorated with intricate repousse decor around the frame; it includes a large vase cartouche at the pediment filled up with different fruit and flanked with dove birds perched on top. A similar vase with similar motifs at the base. The center mirror features the original beveled mercury glass with inset smaller mirrors around the periphery; it is further embellished with Roman female faces around the frame. The Napoleon III wall mirror is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich patinated gilt finish throughout the frame. A wonderful addition to a powder room or an entryway. 27″W x 49″H
