Accessorize an office or study with this elegant antique barometer. Crafted in France circa 1850, the scientific instrument with hunt motifs throughout, features deer, bird and a letter holder pouch form, embellished with hoof decor on the front, and dressed with an adjustable bandouliere strap. The bronze and champleve wall piece has wonderful details; it is in excellent working order. A wonderful gift for an avid hunter! Cloisonné or champleve is an ancient technique for decorating metal or marble objects. In this technique, enamel, glass, or gemstones are separated by strips of flattened wire that are placed on a metal backing. Measures: 4″ W x 14″ H.
