Mid-Century French Patinated Concrete Faux Bois Split-Log Planter on Legs
$1,700
About
Stage your backyard or garden with this large antique outdoor planter. Crafted in France circa 1950 and rectangular in shape, the heavy jardinière stands on log form legs over a tree trunk sawed in half shaped body; it is decorated with realistic tree bark in high relief. Durable in all climates, “Faux Bois” (false wood) is made from concrete laid over an iron armature for structural strength, and then hand-carved to achieve the finished look of real wood. The flower pot is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use and adorns a rich weathered finish with evidence of outdoor use; a wonderful addition to any backyard or patio! Bottom pierced for water drainage. Weight 95 pounds. Measures: 39.75″ W x 13.5″ D x 19.25″ H.
