19th Century French Louis Philippe Marble Top Walnut Rafraichissoir Dry Bar
$2,600
About
Decorate a den or living room with this elegant antique “Rafraichissoir” table (the design was originally created as a refreshing station to keep champagne or white wine chilled). Hand-crafted in France circa 1840 and built of walnut, the square table stands on turned legs ending with coasters, and connected at the base with two cane shelves, over a straight apron dressed with a middle drawer. The surface is dressed with an inset grey and white marble top, and embellished with two removable metal cooler buckets for bottles and ice. The occasional bottle table is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich walnut patina. With its graceful silhouette and lovely marble top, this unique rafraichissoir (literally refresher in English) will be a wonderful addition in any room, as a side table, or a conversation “dry bar” piece in a wine cellar! Versatile, it could also be used as a double cache-pot jardiniere with live plants in each container! Measures: 16.5″W x 16.5″D x 28.75″H.
