Early 20th Century Carved Bentwood “Perroquet” Coat Stand Thonet Style
$1,900
About
Bring a retro, yet practical touch to any entry or dressing area with this elegant, carved coat stand. The useful hat rack was crafted in France, circa 1920 in the style of German-Austrian cabinet maker, Michael Thonet (1796-1871). The hall tree features two rows of eight hooks, so it could be used as a dual hat and coat rack. It is also dressed with a decorative finial at the pediment. The halltree has a wide sturdy base; it stands on four legs further dressed with a ring to hold umbrellas upright. The coat rack is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use and adorns a rich light walnut patina throughout. Measures: 28″ Diameter 79.25″H
