$2,900
About
Decorate a mantel, a console or a buffet with this colorful pair of antique vases. Hand crafted in France circa 1870 and attributed to the Porcelain de Paris Manufacture, the tall vessels stand on an integral round base over a circular base extending to a wide convex neck at the top. The large urns are hand-painted with outdoor pastoral scenes. One scene depicts a gentleman carrying his wife over the water while the kid is holding a lamb crossing the river. The other scene features a mother with her two children walking on a bridge, and carrying hand picked fresh flowers. Both base, neck and rim are embellished with gilt decor throughout. The important neoclassical vessels are in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorn rich enameled colors.. Measures: 13.75″ diameter 17″ height.
