Decorate an entry way, a den or an office with these elegant antique jelly cabinets. Crafted in Brittany France, circa 1870, and built of oak and chestnut, the “Confituriers” (French for jelly cabinets) stand on bun feet over a molded plinth base. Each cabinet features a single door with a unique pierced design and decorated with a hand carved rural farm scenes in high relief; one scene depicts a Breton couple dancing with a musician playing the bag pipe. The other scene depicts two Breton people in traditional clothing talking to each other. Opening the door, the inside reveals a adjustable shelf and wonderful storage. The small buffets have a drawer embellished with carved floral rosettes medallions under a rectangular top decorated with molded edge. The Louis XIII style cabinets are in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich bleached patinated finish. Versatile, they could also be used as bedside tables on either side or a king size bed. Keys included. Each cabinet can be sold separately. Measures: 33″ W x 17.75″ D x 39″ H
