About
For an interesting bar accessory, look no further than this colorful Faux-Book “Cave à Liqueur”. Crafted in France, circa 1920, the antique liquor cave is shaped like four antique books stacked together. Each book has a different name on the spine; the top one, which is the smallest, is titled “Oeuvres de J. Domat”, the next one “Florian Fables”, then “Jean Richepin, Miarka” and finally “Ministere de l’Interieur 1848”. When lifting the top, it reveals a complete liqueur set with five shot cordials and two matching brandy carafes with stoppers; both bottles and glasses are decorated with hand painted gilt motifs. The stacked liquor box is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich patinated leather finish with beautiful gilt tooling; it would make a charming accent piece in a wet bar or a gentleman’s study! Measures: 8.75″ W x 6″ D x 5.25″ H.
