This elegant two-piece antique copper well tree with warming jacket, with meat cover dome was created in England, circa 1870. Likely manufactured by Sheffield, and standing on curved legs, the platter with integral warming jacket, is dressed with wooden side handles; the serving dish is further embellished with shaped motifs. Oval in shape, the traditional meat cover has a fluted body and is topped with a naturalistic cast of a stippled foliate handle; it is decorated with Classic stippled acanthus and shell motifs and embellished with embossed family coat of arms crest on the facade. The large conforming two-piece serving piece, is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich silver plated finish. Use is as a centerpiece on a dining table for your next dinner party. Measure: 26,75″ W x 18″ D x 15″H.
