Crafted in northern France, circa 1870, and built of solid oak wood, the Renaissance style bench stands on bracket feet over a carved scalloped apron. The seating with curved open armrests, has a trapdoor which lifts up and reveals interior storage (ideal to store extra blankets, kids toy or other objects). The front is embellished with three carved panels of floral and leaves, and both sides are decorated with foliage motifs. The Louis XIII bench is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, with exquisite carvings, and adorns a rich walnut patina. Measures: 47.25″ W x 18″ D x 45″ H.
