Decorate a wine cellar with this elegant and heavily carved antique cabinet. Crafted in France, circa 1870, the jelly cabinet stands on a wide and thick double molded plinth base over bun feet. The “Confiturier” (French for jelly cabinet) with hand carved bunch of fruit on both sides, features a drawer across the front embellished with carved leaf and vine decor and dressed with a branch-form handle. The cabinet features a recessed single door decorated with a hand carved center medallion with grape and vine motifs in high relief. The inside reveals a middle shelf for ultimate storage. The top is dressed with a wooden top embellished with carved molded edges. The Henri II style cabinet is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use. and adorns a rich stripped oak patinated finish. Versatile, the cabinet could also be used as a vanity in a powder room with the addition of a sink, or used in an entry or den for additional storage. Key and lock included. Measures: 38″ W x 25.5″ D x 41″ H.
