This important antique vase was crafted in France, circa 1780. Octagonal in shape with gadrooned body style and a tall neck, the elegant potiche features a hand painted medallion depicting an outdoor courting scene in the traditional blue and white Delft palette; it is further embellished with shell and floral motifs throughout. The large flower pot is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns rich patinated color. A must of any blue and white lover! Stamped W on the underside for further authentication. 9″W x 7.5″D x 16″H
