About
This elegant antique dining table was crafted in Normandy, France circa 1780. Built of solid oak, the monastery table stands on pierced and curved baluster support legs joined by cross stretcher with mortise and tenon joinery terminated in molded shoe base. The Provincial table is dressed with a solid 2.5″ thick rectangular top embellished with geometric parquetry and decorated with polished forged iron diamond shaped nails over each support. The large Louis XIII style farm table is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich bleached patinated finish with beautiful distress; a wonderful breakfast or dining table that would easily sit up to 8 or 10 people!
