This elegant antique dining table was crafted in Normandy, France circa 1860. Built of solid elm wood, and over 8 foot long, the monastery table stands on pierced and curved baluster support legs joined by cross stretcher with mortise and tenon joinery terminated in molded shoe base. The Provincial table is dressed with a thick rectangular top comprising of three boards, and embellished with decorated with polished forged iron diamond shaped nails over each support. The large Louis XIII style farm table is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich walnut patina with beautiful distress; a wonderful breakfast or dining table that would easily sit up to 8 or 10 people! Measures: 97″ W x 36″ D x 30.5″ H.
