This large heavy antique brass planter was crafted in France, circa 1880. Round in shape, the decorative cache pot stands on an integral circular base over a long stem embellished with turned ring decor. The flower pot is decorated with a repousse pastoral scene featuring children playing with a dog and doing other activities. The planter with intricate repousse decor is further dressed with lion head handles in high relief. The large, tall planter is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich patinated brass finish. Versatile, it could also be used as an elegant champagne or wine cooler. Measure: 15″ diameter x 38.25″H
