About
Compliment your entryway, hallway or mud room with this heavily carved antique bench. Crafted in northern France, circa 1880, and built of solid oak wood, the bleached Renaissance style bench stands on square feet over a straight carved apron. The elegant back features two carved front panels with geometric and floral motifs in high relief; the top is further embellished with blind tracery decor and dressed with finials in each corner. The seating with open armrests, has a trapdoor which lifts up and reveals interior storage (ideal to store extra blankets, kids toy or other objects). The front is embellished with side columns and carved panels with arched and geometric motifs. The Gothic revival bench is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, with exquisite carvings, and adorns a bleached walnut patina. Measures: 45″ W x 18″ D x 41″ H
