About
Compliment your entryway, hallway or mud room with this heavily carved antique bench. Crafted in northern France, circa 1870, and built of solid oak wood, the Renaissance style bench stands on a straight carved apron. The tall back features two carved front panels with geometric and floral motifs in high relief; the top is further embellished with blind tracery decor and dressed with decorative finials in each corner. The seating with side armrests, has a trapdoor which lifts up and reveals interior storage (ideal to store extra blankets, kids toy or other objects). The front and sides are embellished with carved panels and geometric motifs as well. The Gothic revival bench is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, with exquisite carvings, and adorns a rich patinated finish. Measures: 49.5″ W x 17.75″ D x 69″ H
