This elegant, antique trumeau was crafted in Northern France circa 1870. The long, rectangular mirror is topped with a square, hand-painted mythological scene. The composition shows a couple dressed in classical garments in a lush landscape drinking and dancing while looking at a cherub statue. The frame of the classic trumeau is painted green with gilt trimming. The mirror has its original mercury glass and wood panel back for structure.
