Versatile, this Louis Philippe mirror could be hung horizontally or vertically in a number of rooms for a traditional French style. Crafted in the Burgundy region of France, circa 1870, the antique mirror has traditional, timeless lines; the rectangular thick and carved frame is decorated with a discrete floral engraving throughout, and a luxurious gold leaf finish; it is further embellished with carved foliate motifs around the inside edges. The Classic wall piece is in excellent condition with mercury glass, and wood backing from later addition, and adorns a rich and bright patinated gilt finish. New hooks has been installed on the back for easy handling and installation. a wonderful Size for a powder room, an entry or hallway, or a bedroom! 28.75″W x 37.5″H (vertically) 37.5″W x 27875″H (horizontally).
