19th Century French Louis XIII Bleached Carved Oak Refectory Dining Table
$11,000
About
This elegant antique refectory table was crafted in Normandy, France circa 1870. Built of solid oak, and almost 10 feet in length, the table stands on carved trestle support legs ending with molded shoe feet, and joined together with a cross bottom stretcher; each pedestal is further embellished at the base with a decorative double forged diamond shape mount. The long monastery table is dressed with a solid 3″ thick rectangular top decorated with four iron diamond shaped nails over each support. The large Louis XIII style farm table is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich bleached and white washed patinated finish with beautiful distress; a wonderful breakfast or dining table that would easily sit 10 to 12 people!
