Over eight feet tall, this important antique mirror is a one of a kind! Crafted in Paris, France circa 1870, the grand mirror is decorated with a hand carved pierced cartouche at the pediment featuring floral and foliage motifs in high relief on both sides. The thick frame is further embellished with grape and vine decor throughout. The large Louis XV mirror is dressed with the original beveled glass and wood backing. The massive wall decor is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns the original and rich two-tone gold leaf and silver leaf finish. Place this elegant and heavily carved mirror over a mantel, or over a buffet in a dining room, or a large console in an entryway. The beautiful mirror is crated and secured for easy transport.
