Decorate a living room or dining room with this elegant antique overlay mirror. Crafted in Provence, Southern France circa 1860, and five feet tall, the “Parclose” mirror features a nicely carved and pierced rocaille cartouche at the pediment decorated with intricate scroll, foliage and floral motif; it is further dressed with the traditional Louis XVI ribbon bow. Both sides with indented corners are embellished with detailed carvings, including acanthus leaves, floral garlands, and scroll work; it is further embellished with music instruments motifs. The large rectangular cushion mirror, dressed with the original mercury glass and wood backing, is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a beautiful two-tone gold leaf and white gesso painted finish. This eye-catching Louis XVI style cushion mirror would make a great addition to a large powder room or entryway with its interesting shape and two-tone finish! 44″W x 7″D x 60″H
