Fine and ornate antique Christofle silver plated tray with handles from France, circa 1870. Recently re-silvered, the tray with engraved center design, features a scrolled frame of raised repousse decors. Excellent condition, with stamped, numbered and signed “Christofle”. Christofle is a manufacturer of fine silver flatware and home accessories based in France. It was founded in 1830, when jeweler Charles Christofle assumed management of a jewelry workshop belonging to his wife’s family. Among Christofle product lines are silver picture frames, crystal vases and glassware, porcelain dinnerware, and silver jewelry and holloware. Measures: 27″ x 17″ SKU: 132-385
