19th Century Japanese Painted Imari Shall Bowl with Mounts on Bronze Dore Stand
$1,200
About
Decorate a console with this antique Imari bowl for a small dose of oriental design in your home. Crafted in Japan circa 1860, the circular porcelain vide-poche sits on an ornate Louis XV gilt bronze stand. The bronze setting reflects an ornate, European style, while the ceramic component is decorated in an exotic, Asian style with a natural motif of fruit and leaves. The shallow, ceramic bowl features hand painted floral decor with gilt accents, and the rim is decorated with an ornate gallery embellished with leaf motif side handles. The Japanese import dish is in excellent condition with a richly patinated gilt finish.
