19th Century Louis Philippe Carved Giltwood Mirror with Cherub and Floral Motifs
$3,900
About
Decorate a powder room with this elegant antique gilt mirror! Crafted in France, circa 1870, the mirror is decorated at the pediment with a flower vase cartouche in the center flanked by a pair of carved cherub figures. The gilt frame, dressed with the original mercury glass and wood backing, is decorated with a discrete engraved floral motif and further embellished with decorative beads around the frame. The versatile mirror is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns its original patinated and bright gold leaf finish; it would also make an impressive addition over a mantel, or in a living room over a buffet or chest of drawers. New hooks and wire in the back for easy installation.
Measures: 28″ W x 50.5″ H.
