Decorate an office or study with this colorful antique painting. Created in England and set in the original ornate and carved gilt wood frame, the artwork painted on board depicts an Arab encampment in desert behind the Giza pyramid together with nomad figures on camels, and a donkey; the scene is completed with a woman and child and palm trees in the background. The painting is signed in the lower left corner by British artist John Coulson and dated 1927. The painting and frame are in excellent condition commensurate with age and use and adorn wonderful colors. The Great Pyramid of Giza is the largest Egyptian pyramid and the tomb of Fourth Dynasty pharaoh Khufu. Built in the early 26th century BC during a period of around 27 years, the pyramid is the oldest of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, and the only one to remain largely intact. As part of the Giza pyramid complex, it borders present-day Giza in Greater Cairo, Egypt. 26.5″W x 17″H
