Early 20th Century, French Louis XV Carved Mahogany Napkin Folding Game Table
$2,200
About
Decorate a game room or a den with this elegant folding card table. Crafted in France circa 1930 and built of mahogany wood with marquetry bands throughout, the square table stands on cabriole legs, over a scalloped apron dressed with a single drawer and decorated with a bronze handle. Opening the table by unfolding the four napkin form sides and twisting the whole top in a secure position, it reveals a larger surface upholstered with green velvet; it is further embellished with four cup holders for chips or drinks. The Louis XV style game table is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich walnut patina. Practical, unusual and versatile, the table could also be used as a side or occasional table. Measures: 22″W x 22″D x 29.5″ H (closed) 31″W x 31″D x 28.5″H (opened).
