Early 20th Century French Rococo Free Standing Bronze Dore Altar Crucifix
$950
About
This beautiful and intricate free standing crucifix was created in France circa 1920. Coming from a small catholic chapel in France and built of bronze, the cross stands on a cone shaped base ending with small curved acanthus leaf from feet over a scalloped apron. The stem is embellished at the pediment with the INRI sign held with sun rays, and Christ is represented hung on the cross surrounded with shell motifs. The tall religious item is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich patinated gilt finish. Measure: 22.25″H
