Decorate a master bathroom or powder room with this colorful antique jewelry box. Created in the style of Sèvres, France circa 1870, this round porcelain casket is adorned with a striking cobalt blue glaze and framed by an opulent gilt bronze doré accents. The storage container rests gracefully on four intricately detailed lion’s paw feet. The lid showcases a hand-painted pastoral scene, signed by the artist Rolin, depicting a noble lady in regal attire, surrounded by lush foliage with a tranquil pond at her side. Encircling the central motif, delicate foliate, floral, and ribbon decorations add to the casket’s refined charm. The box is dressed with a acthanus leaf latch and bronze hinge, when opened, the inside of the box is embellished with hand painted flowers. The Louis XVI jewelry box is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, with rich colors on royal blue background. Measures: 5.25″ Diameter x 2.75″ H.
