Decorate an entryway or living room with this important antique chest. Created in France, circa 1920 and bombe in shape on all three sides, the cabinet stands on elegant cabriole legs decorated with foliage bronze mounts at the shoulders, and ending with bronze sabot feet. The scalloped apron is embellished with a Louis XVI inlaid ribbon bow over two large drawers across the front. The sides with serpentine shape, are decorated with two-tone inlaid marquetry veneer. The large serpentine drawers are embellished with a large center medallion of floral decor, and dressed with flourishing bronze handles. The surface is dressed with the original thick shaped variegated grey and beige marble top. The tall Louis XV style commode is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorn a rich French polish finish. One key locking both drawers at once. Marble has been professionally restored and re-enforced with no visible repairs. Measures: 55.5″ W x 24.5″ D x 35.75″ H.
