Make a statement in your home with this antique tapestry from France. Handwoven in Aubusson in the style of Boucher, circa 1750, this wall hanging piece depicts a peaceful pastoral scene that includes on the left side, a young shepherd attending his sheep sited next to a young beauty, and a chateau and running stream in the background. The right side shows a courting scene with a gentleman charming a woman playing the pipe, a large dog beside them, and a bridge in the background. The colorful verdure tapestry with trees and foliage, has fresh colors, predominately in the green and beige palette, and will require a large wall to be hung comfortably. The tapestry is in very good condition commensurate with age and use, and has a new canvas backing.
