This elegant, vintage rolling bar cart was created in France, circa 1930 and attributed to Maison Bagues. The rectangular dessert table has a brass frame, small wheels with rubber tires over short straight legs, and two rectangular shelf plateaus topped with glass surfaces. Both shelves are connected by curved inward brass frame and embellished with brass rope form motif connecting the sides together. The removable top deck dressed with tainted glass features a convenient shaped utilitarian handle on each side and is decorated with a brass pierced gallery rim; the tray can be conveniently be lifted up, and be set on a table. The bottom plateau also features a decorative pierced gallery around the original glass. The classic Art Deco table is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich patinated gilt finish. The cart table is practical and convenient, and could be used to hold bottles and glasses, or to serve cheese, dessert or tea during or after a meal. Since 1860, the Maison Baguès has been located in the center of Paris and specializes in the creation of luxury furniture and lighting. Early on, it became the emblem of French Savoir-Faire in wrought iron work and brass, along with French craftsmanship, which is highly valued internationally. Measures: 27.5″ W x 18″ D x 27″ H.
