Mid-Century French Brass and Églomisé Glass Maison Bagues Nesting Tables
$2,800
About
These vintage “Tables Gigognes” (aka nesting tables), were created in Paris circa 1930 by Maison Baguès. Made of brass, the three stacking tables stand on straight tapered and fluted legs decorated with turned motifs at the shoulders, and secured at the base with bottom stretcher; each surface is dressed with the original “verre églomisé” top. The nesting tables set is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorn a rich patinated gilt finish. The sleek, simple design of the rectangular side tables along with the mirrored surfaces make these pieces the perfect addition to a living room of any style.
Since 1860, the Maison Baguès has been located in the center of Paris and specializes in the creation of luxury furniture and lighting. Early on, it became the emblem of French Savoir-Faire in wrought iron work and brass, along with French craftsmanship, which is highly valued internationally.
