About
This elegant antique refectory table was crafted in Normandy, France circa 1960. Built of solid walnut, the substantial table stretches over 6 feet in length. The monastery-style base features large curved baluster legs, ending with molded shoe bases, and connected with a cross-stretcher attached with traditional mortise-and-tenon joinery for enduring strength and stability. The tabletop showcases exceptional craftsmanship, with a thick 2″ rectangular surface comprised of two inner boards framed by a wide outer border, creating a wonderful visual contrast. The Louis XIII style trestle farm table is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich walnut patina with beautiful distressed finish; a wonderful breakfast or dining table that would sit six to eight people comfortably! Measures: 79″ W x 31.5″ D x 28.75″ H.
