Crafted in Normandy, France, circa 1950, the antique box is rectangular in shape with scalloped edges and dressed with a top handle on the detached lid. The casket features hand-painted decor of floral and foliage motifs in the typical Rouen pattern. The ceramic box is in excellent condition with rich colors in the blue, yellow and green palette. Versatile, the box could be used on a vanity counter, as a vide-poche on a console or as remote control holder on a coffee table. Stamped Rouen France on the underside for further authentication.
