This long antique “Poissonniere” (or fish pot) was crafted in France, circa 1960. Made of copper and rectangular in shape with rounded ends, the kettle is dressed with two large forged brass side handles attached with rivets, this country kitchen essential features the original bottom pierced tray, and could still be used for fish cooking. The fish cooking pot is in excellent condition, and adorns a rich, patinated polished finish. This sturdy, versatile, traditional piece could also be used as a decorative flower jardinière center piece, or simply displayed on top of kitchen cabinets. Measures: 22″ W x 6″ D x 6.5″ H.
