This elegant, colorful, vintage fishbowl was created in China, circa 1960. Round in shape, the large, mid-century porcelain bowl with Greek key border, features Classic oriental scenes with western style figural reserves and foliate motifs. The ceramic vase is painted on the inside as well with a traditional koi fish illustration motif. The fishbowl could be put to use as deep planter as well. Overall, the exotic, Asian piece is in wonderful condition with a beautiful, vibrant multi-color palette and gilt accents over blue background. This bowl is a must-have for a traditional style home, or for the chinoiserie collector. Marked underfoot. Measures: 18″ diameter 16″ height.
