This grand, statement armoire is derived from the chateaux region of the Loire Valley of France. The region includes notable palaces including Chamborg, Chenonceau, Chevergny, Azay le Rideau, etc. Carved, circa 1760, this fruitwood wardrobe is huge in size – over 10 feet tall – and has Classic, straight lines throughout. At the bottom of the cabinet, you’ll find a large drawer with original wrought iron pulls, and inside the cabinet are multiple shelves for easy, utilitarian storage. The armoire is topped with a large crown, and flaunts its original hardware with a lock, cremaillere and huge key. This is truly a museum quality piece, and is in excellent condition with original rich walnut patina! Place this armoire in a bedroom or living room, the options are endless.
